We had another amazing week at Desert Willow! Students started checking out books in the library, we had our Kindness Challenge Fundraiser Kick-Off Assemblies, and Ms. Gossen and Mrs. Rios' classes went to StarBase for their second day.

Check out the calendar to see what clubs and activities are starting on campus next week! Wednesday is a Half Day, dismissal will be at noon (12 pm). Wednesday evening will be the California Trip meeting. If you and your 4th or 5th grader are planning on attending the trip, attendance at this meeting is mandatory.

Can we reach all 50 states? Share your fundraising page with family and friends near and far to help us fill the map. Every new state brings our school closer to completing the 50 State Challenge and spreading KINDNESS across the country!

Keep the momentum going by completing your Kindness Passport for a chance to win a prize from the Mystery Prize Box! We can't wait to see all the incredible acts of kindness our students share throughout the fundraiser.

Our Kindness Fundraiser starts TODAY! Parents, please register your student TONIGHT, share their fundraising page with friends and family, and complete the Boarding Pass assignment. Don't forget to have your student turn in their completed Boarding Pass to school tomorrow to earn their prizes!

We have had an amazing second week of school! Two of our 5th grade classes started going to StarBase for their STEAM field trips. All of our 5th graders will get the opportunity to visit StarBase throughout this year. Our 1st graders were practicing their place value and representing numbers with place value blocks.

Even though it is a short week next week, there are still tons of things going on at Desert Willow!

We will have our PTA Kindness Challenge Fundraiser Kick-Off Assemblies to begin our fundraiser and later in the week we will have our Fall Picture Days. Our Kindness Fundraiser starts on Tuesday! Our students will be spreading kindness while raising funds for a shade structure to go over the purple playground. Let’s do this!
