20 years of a unique summer opportunity for motivated Arizona high school students with a strong interest in interdisciplinary sciences to work with top University of Arizona faculty on research projects that address the world's greatest challenges. On July 17, we celebrated the 20th Annual KEYS Research Showcase! 🎉

After seven weeks of hands-on research, the 2026 KEYS interns presented their work during a poster session, received certificates recognizing their accomplishments and celebrated with more than 400 family members, mentors, alumni and supporters.

Thank you to U.S. Rep. Adelita Grijalva for visiting with students and delivering an inspiring keynote about supporting the next generation of scientists.

The celebration also featured remarks from KEYS alumni Salika Dunatunga, Joshua Dusek and Mariam Rana, who represented the program's early, middle and recent years and reflected on how KEYS helped shape their scientific journeys.

To the KEYS class of 2026, we are so proud of you and look forward to your future achievements! 💙
