SUSD Transition School to Work This is the Sunnyside Unified School District #12's Exceptional Education's Transition School to Work

The SUSD TSW Program is a 3rd party agreement between SUSD, the Department of Economic Security (DES) and the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) to provide transition services for students who qualify for Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services. SUSD TSW uses the PAES (Practical Assessment Exploration System) to provide a hands-on work simulation experience. Students who complete the program graduate:
know communication and behavioral expectations in work environments
understand their strengths
advocate their needs
acquire work-related problem-solving skills
develop a career plan
identify what careers interest them. Students participate in 3 components: the PAES Lab, transition curriculum and internships in the district departments such as Informational Technology, Exceptional Education, Maintenance, and 21st Century.

🚒 Visit the Tucson Fire Department fire engine from 10:00–11:00 a.m.
👓 Free vision screenings for children
🥤 Free eegee’s drinks for the first 200 guests
🎁 Opportunities to win fun prizes in our free drawing

On Friday, September 11, Sunnyside High School TSW students participated in the 9/11 Stair Challenge. This is the first year that Sunnyside High School has hosted the event. Students and adults were able to honor and remember the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Students and staff climbed over 2,000 steps and took 13 laps on the bleachers of the football stadium to represent the 110 stories the first responders climbed that day to help others.
