Today in second grade ☀️

Slime is a fun way to observe how matter can change. Matter is anything that takes up space and has mass. The glue, baking soda, and contact solution are all matter.

When we mix these materials together, they change and form slime. The slime has different properties from the materials we started with. It is stretchy, squishy, and can change shape. By making slime, we can observe how combining materials can cause matter to change and create a new material with different properties.

In Science Club, we made clouds charts from cotton balls to help us predict the weather. Adventure Schools offers free afterschool clubs to all K - 8 grade students.
