A pretty amazing surprise at Laguna Elementary this morning! 💙💛

Ms. Kristi Gutierrez was surprised by KOLD’s Surprise Squad with a $1,000 gift from Rite Way HVAC!

It was so much fun seeing her reaction and watching our Laguna community celebrate right along with her.

Today we’re celebrating Mrs. Christina Hales!

Mrs. Hales was nominated for the care, dedication, and encouragement she brings to her students each day.

Her nomination highlighted the way she helps students develop a love of music, build new skills, and grow in confidence. She was also recognized for her attention to detail, the high expectations she sets for students, and the genuine care she shows each child.

Even on challenging days, Mrs. Hales continues to show up with patience, dedication, and positivity.

Arizona voters will consider Proposition 320 this November, a ballot measure that could affect how school districts allocate operational spending.

The Arizona School Boards Association is hosting a free webinar on Monday, October 5, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. to help families, educators, school board members, and community members better understand the proposal and its potential impact on Arizona schools.

The discussion will include an overview of Proposition 320, the proposed 60% direct instructional spending requirement, and what the measure could mean for school budgets and operations.

📢 Attention Flowing Wells Families & Community Members!

Hosted at Catalina Foothills School District (CFSD), this upcoming Proposition 320 Community Informational Session is open to the public and applies to ALL school districts across Pima County—including Flowing Wells!

If passed in November, Proposition 320 will impact school district budgets, classroom funding, staffing, and operations across our region. This neutral informational event will help you understand what the ballot measure means for our local schools and students before you vote.

Games, food trucks, a raffle, a parade and Friday night football. Now that sounds like Homecoming! 🎉

Join us for the Flowing Wells District Homecoming Festival, presented by the Flowing Wells Educational Foundation.

📅 Friday, October 2
🎪 Festival: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
⭐ Parade: 6 p.m.
🏈 Football game: 7 p.m.

🎟️ Purchase your tickets early and save!

Raffle tickets: 6 for $5 or $1 each
Activity tickets: 5 for $1 or 25¢ each

Advance tickets are available at all Flowing Wells schools and Human Resources through 11 a.m. on Friday, October 2.

At the festival, raffle tickets will be $1 each and activity tickets will be 25¢ each.

Come early for the festival. Stay for the parade. Then cheer on the Cabs under the Friday night lights!
