We’re serving up school garden grown zucchini at Ochoa Elementary school as part of our Arizona Department of EducationFarm Fresh Challenge today! Kiddos will see this vegetable again later this month in their 💯 locally sourced veggie tacos 🌮 😋

DID YOU KNOW? TUSD Food Services is committed to providing high-quality food literacy and garden education programming because research shows these opportunities can support lifelong student health and well-being. We are fortunate to have received funding from USDA for a two-year Food Waste Reduction and Composting pilot project which will provide 11 TUSD schools with robust, sustaining compost programming through collaborations with UA School Garden Workshop and UA Compost Cats. 🍎

We visited Myers Elementary School last week and made the most epic carrot top chimichurri to top off our delicious grain bowl- locally sourced as always! We are excited to see the outcome of these meal kits 🌱
