What does it mean to truly see a patient?
Dr. Stephen Dahmer, director of the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, joined the W.A. Franke Honors College podcast "It's an Honor" to explore that question, and the values that have shaped his approach to medicine: curiosity, whole-person care, and the belief that a patient's cultural and personal context is never beside the point.
From his early work as a medical interpreter to his time living in Brazil, Dr. Dahmer's path into integrative medicine has been defined by listening, learning across disciplines, and a commitment to prevention and partnership.
