✨ Senior Spotlight: Lindsey Hurley

For Lindsey Hurley, graduating as valedictorian from Andrada High School is more than just an academic accomplishment. It’s the result of years of curiosity, determination, and taking every opportunity to explore her passions.

A lifelong Vail student, Lindsey attended Esmond Station K-8 School before choosing Andrada for its unique automotive program. While many students might hesitate to jump into a traditionally male-dominated field, Lindsey saw it as an opportunity to challenge herself and discover something new.

At Andrada, Lindsey completed both the Automotive and Engineering pathways, earning industry certifications while balancing a rigorous academic schedule. Through Vail’s CTE and SEP programs, she gained real-world experience shadowing professionals at a race shop, where she worked alongside engineers and mechanics working on custom cars.

Those experiences helped shape her future goals. This fall, Lindsey will attend Purdue University to study Motorsports Engineering, with dreams of one day working in Formula One racing.

Lindsey credits the Vail School District for helping her discover the career path she’s passionate about.

“If I hadn’t been able to try both engineering and auto, I would have had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do,” she said. “The teachers here really encouraged us to get out there and learn.”

Congratulations, Lindsey. Your Vail family can’t wait to see where the road takes you next.

Interested in joining one of our 2027 or 2028 trips? I’ll be hosting a quick Zoom meeting this Wednesday at 5:00 PM to share information about our upcoming Andrada trips to Italy/Germany/Switzerland, Ireland, and Japan/South Korea.

This is the last chance this school year to lock in your spot and begin making payments!

A few important reminders:
• 2027 trips currently have a $200 enrollment discount, ending soon and will not be offered again for those trips.
• The Japan/South Korea trip price will increase by $200 on June 1st, so enrolling now saves a total of $400.

Andrada Staff Appreciation Week 2026 is off to an AMAZING start as we go for the GOLD! 🥇

We’re celebrating our champions all week long with an Olympic-themed lineup!

Monday kicked off with our Opening Ceremonies and a delicious breakfast provided by Living Branch Church followed by a Hydration & Snack Station to keep our team fueled and strong.

Today… we leveled up with our Gold Medal Goodies Dessert Bar —and it did NOT disappoint!

So grateful for the incredible staff who show up every day for our students. You truly are GOLD medal worthy!
