We’re grateful to share a piece of our history. Wisdom’s Way Interfaith School began as a dream sparked during Tacheria training in 2011. With the Board’s support, Cathy and Gill opened the school in 2014 and welcomed seekers into a two‑year journey of holy listening, spiritual companioning, and exploration of global wisdom traditions. Over eight years, more than 80 participants completed the program, creating a vibrant spiritual community that continued beyond Cathy and Gil’s retirement in 2022.

A beautiful reminder of how one inspired “yes” can grow into something lasting.

Today we honor the life of Martha Jane Chilcott, who passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026. Jane lived 98 extraordinary years—years filled with teaching, service, travel, faith, family, and a generosity of spirit that touched everyone she met. She opened her home, her heart, and her beloved Sonoran Desert to countless loved ones and friends.

A Memorial Service celebrating Jane’s life will be held:
Saturday, October 24, 2026 • 10:00 AM
St. Philip’s in the Hills Episcopal Church
4440 N Campbell Ave, Tucson

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Skidmore College, the Tacheria Scholarship Fund, or St. Philip’s Altar Guild.

The first day of Tacheria’s spiritual direction classes for the 2026/2028 year is September 12th. Classes occur the second Saturday of each month from 8:30am to 3:00pm. We have a great line up of speakers and activities planned. Registration for new students ends September 7th so there is still time to sign up for the this year’s program. Meet Our Teacher: Rev Frank Williams, ThD

Frank Williams has devoted his life to ministry, education, counseling, and interfaith service. A United Methodist minister, he founded the Church of St. Francis in the Foothills and later served as Director of the Tucson Ecumenical Council, a Family Studies faculty member at the University of Arizona, and Social Services Director at Casa de la Luz Hospice.

Frank and his wife, Linda, became Co‑Directors of Tacheria after founder Jeanette Renouf’s retirement. A member of the Board since its beginning, Frank continues to support Tacheria’s mission, focusing on Life Transitions, Grief and Loss, Forgiveness, and Eldering.

Meet our Teacher: Nancy Siner
We’re delighted to introduce Nancy, whose deep grounding in the Enneagram brings clarity, compassion, and a sense of “everything belongs” to her teaching. Trained through the Enneagram Spectrum with Jerome Wagner, PhD, Nancy approaches this wisdom tradition with a gentle reminder that our strengths and weaknesses are often two sides of the same coin. Outside of Tacheria, she supports nonprofits through data collection and analysis — blending intuition with precision in all she does. We’re grateful to have her guiding our exploration of the Enneagram this year.

Dave’s path through Tacheria, recovery work, and spiritual direction has shaped a compassionate, grounded approach to accompanying others. From supporting Wisdom’s Way to leading Recovering Community Advocates, he brings wisdom rooted in real-life transformation. We’re honored to have him teaching The Spirituality of Recovery and the 12 Steps in our upcoming cohort.

Meet Our Teacher: Ken Vorndran Ph.D. Faculty Emeritus

For four decades, Ken has taught the art of writing—helping others find their voice through story, reflection, and creativity. His spiritual path has moved through church, philosophy, recovery, Zen, and the quiet wisdom of nature. The 12 Steps have become his deepest spiritual home, supported by meditation and a lifelong love of learning. We’re honored to welcome Ken as he guides our exploration of Spirituality and the 12 Steps.
