As we begin a new school year, we’re excited to welcome every student—from our youngest preschool learners to our trailblazing 8th graders—back to campus. Together, we’ll embrace new opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve while demonstrating our Wrangler code:

🌟 🚨 NEW elementary playground equipment!

Two brand new amazing playground equipment pieces were installed over the summer on our elementary circular playground (closest to the building)!
This equipment is able to be purchased through the generous ‘undesignated tax credit’ funds donated to our Wilson K-8 campus.
The state of Arizona allows you to designate $200 for single filing ($400 for married filing) for state tax credit! You can designate the tax credit to a specific area (such as band, choir, etc) or you can mark it ‘undesignated’ to Wilson K-8 which allows our Administration team and Site Council to purchase campus items such as this amazing new playground equipment!

We can’t wait to see our newest Wranglers enjoy the fun!

Also the FIRST DAY of school is Wednesday, Aug 5th and therefore an EARLY RELEASE WEDNESDAY.

💙Elementary families: please plan on 12:25 pm dismissal

💚Middle school families: please plan on 1:25 pm dismissal

Be patient and courteous in the car rider lines as everyone returns to school and our first priority is always safety!

Our Wilson students have a new hero on campus! Welcome Officer Brian Jenkins of Oro Valley Police Department —we’re so glad you’re here! 💙💚🍎

Officer Jenkins comes to campus with 23 years of police experience and previously served 2 years at Copper Creek Elementary. He is a father of a Wilson Wrangler student, loves super spicy food, and loves to golf in his free time! He is an alumni of Mountain View High School and excited to get to serve our community this year.

Gently used clothing and shoes?
Our district’s Amphi Foundation runs a clothing bank and they would love used clothing/shoes and any new packs of underwear and socks - all sizes!
Our Wilson K-8 front office is a DROP OFF SPOT and you can simply bring in a bag marked ‘Amphi Foundation Clothing Bank’ and they will get to families for free shopping!

Our Wilson library is ‘leveling up’ one chapter at a time! 📚🍄 Every book is a new world to explore.
Wilson Librarian Mrs. Shepard and Library Assistant Teresa McCabe have been working to prepare the library with all new Super Mario Brothers theme and we can’t wait to welcome our newest Wranglers!
Stop by the library during Open House and meet our amazing librarian staff and check out the Mario fun!

🌟 Wilson teachers returned back to campus today July 30th for the first day of teacher preparation for our new school year! 🌟

We are so excited to get our campus ready for all of our new and returning Wranglers for the ‘26-‘27 school year and also celebrate the 30th anniversary of our Wilson K-8 community!

Teachers participated all morning in a team building meeting and goal setting for the new year! We are committed to One Team, One Mission, Every Student, Every Day!

🎉 🍕 Thank you Wilson K-8 PTO for generously providing a delicious lunch for all ~100 staff and teachers AND a complimentary new t-shirt for all staff to celebrate the 30th anniversary!

These shirts will be available to purchase during the school year for all families and students.

We look forward to a great new year of community, growth and learning with our Wilson Wrangler families! 🤠

🎉Welcome incoming 6th grade WRANGLERS!
Our Wilson team had a fantastic morning welcoming the newest incoming 6th grade class of Wilson Wranglers into our middle school for their middle school orientation!

6th graders participated in meeting many of their 6th grade teachers, campus tours, learned about our Wilson Wrangler expectations and also learned a 6th grade cheer so they will be ready for the first pep rally! 🎉
💙Thank you to our Wilson leadership class students for volunteering to welcome our incoming 6th graders and assist in a warm welcome to middle school!
💚Thank you to our Wilson K-8 PTO for providing fun popsicles for the event!
🤍 Thank you 6th grade parents and families for facilitating your student attending this great program!
