The Woods Memorial Library is a part of the Pima County Public Library system. At the Woods Library you will find teen gaming, read-to-a-dog, storytimes, computer classes, job and career help, quiet study rooms, & more, plus friendly staff and lots of materials available for checkout. The Pima County Public Library provides books, computers, movies, music, literacy and job help programming and much more to the over one million residents of Pima County. The Woods Memorial Library, which opened in 1968 and was renovated in 1998, is an anchor for the Amphi neighborhood, serving one of the most diverse cultural, racial, and socio-economically communities in Tucson. The 16,650 square foot library serves as a community center for families, as well as teens and children independently, and hosts numerous library programs and community assistance programs and workshops. The library, which has the second highest number of visitors in the library system, was named in honor of G. Freeman Woods who served as a Tucson City Councilman for eight years, was a Flowing Wells School Board member for six years, and served on the library advisory board.

Thanks to your feedback, we've scheduled the workshop series! Today’s Mom is an 8-session nutrition education series that was designed specifically for expectant mothers. The program helps participants make healthy choices for themselves and their growing babies. Join us Mondays from Noon to 1:30pm starting on September 21, 2026. Share with your friends! Hi friends, We need some feedback! We have the opportunity to partner with University of Arizona Cooperative Extension to host an 8-class workshop series for new and expecting mothers to learn about food and nutrition to support baby's health. Classes would include food safety, making healthy choices, pregnancy concerns, physical activity, recipe tasting and breastfeeding. If we hosted this series, would you or someone you know be interested in attending?
