Y’all ready for the first ever MLK COMEDY NIGHT?!

Hosted by local comedienne Nicole M. Riesgo , she’s bringing in some of her funniest friends to help stock the MLK Food Pantry! And they’re being joined by local restaurant fave, Janet Rays !

Entry fee is 3 NON PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS. And if you would like to contribute to the MLK scholarship fund, for $13 you get a plate and a (non-alcoholic) drink from Janet & Ray’s, with all proceeds going directly towards programming and providing necessary, emergency financial assistance to students.

So, come on out and join us for a night of laughs, and help us keep our pantry stocked for the year!

We are excited to meet you at the UA Black Alumni’s Inaugural Welcome & Pinning Ceremony, a special celebration honoring incoming African American students. (Link to register in bio)

This event is in partnership with the UA Campus Community Connections and the MLK Dream Student Space.

This new tradition will bring together incoming students, alumni, faculty, staff, families, and community members to celebrate academic excellence, community, and the enduring legacy of Black Wildcats at the University of Arizona.

Ceremony Highlights:

Alumni and parents will present newly admitted students with specially designed pins, officially welcoming them into the Wildcat for Life family.

Historical reflections on the legacy and impact of Black students at the University of Arizona.

Remarks from university leaders, distinguished alumni, and student representatives.

Affirmations and words of encouragement for your academic journey.

Food, fellowship, and networking opportunities with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters.
