Attention current 4th, 5th, and 6th graders of military personnel or DoW civilians with base access. STARBASE will be holding its Fall STE(A)M Academy, 13 - 16 Oct, 0830 - 1330. See attached for details and how to sign up.

Spots are limited and typically fill up quick.

Please note that parents will be responsible for transporting their students to/from the camp. Youth Programs and/or School Age will NOT be providing transportation. See less

My name is Danielle Campbell, and I am the Program Coordinator for our Family Support Services department here at Operation Homefront.

Every year (now in its 19th year) Operation Homefront hosts the Military Child of the Year® Awards. The awards are open to military children between the ages of 13-18. There are 7 recipients 1 child from each branch of service and each recipient receives $10,000 CASH, a laptop, other donated goodies, and a 3-day trip to Washington, D.C. with us and their families.

Children are entered by nominations. Anyone that knows a military child can nominate any military child. So, you may nominate your students, friend’s children, children can nominate their siblings and best friends and so on. The awards are open to Active Duty, reserves, Gold Star, National Guard, AND retired military children. The program is entirely FREE and exclusive to military children, and you do not need to create an account to submit a nomination.

If you know a military child, we would love to hear their story!! We would also appreciate if you would help us get the word out there to your military communities and families!

Orion provides military teens with opportunities for stable, affordable, uninterrupted high school experiences regardless of where their active duty parent gets stationed, made possible through merit scholarships and school financial aid to 19 top US boarding schools.

Applications are still open for MCEC's Caregiving Youth Student Leadership Program, a fully funded 5-day leadership experience at the University of Texas at San Antonio this October.

Caregiving youth, also known as Hidden Helpers, are high school students who are actively involved in supporting a wounded, ill, or injured veteran in their home. This program was built specifically for them. Students will engage in leadership activities, team building, guest speaker sessions, and lessons designed to prepare them for life after high school, all at no cost to their family.
MCEC covers round-trip flights, hotel, meals, and activities for the full 5 days.
