We have a River Rd and Northwest location, plus choirs at Title One schools throughout Tucson. We also have a co-ed choir for K-12 and all abilities! The mission of the Tucson Girls Chorus is to prepare a diverse group of young women to be confident leaders through participation in a well-constructed educational program that emphasizes music, performance, leadership training and community service. We had an absolute blast at TGC's 8th annual high school festival last week! In collaboration with the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, FLOURISH marked our largest to date with 9 represented schools/organizations and over 200 girls and boys. Thank you to all students who attended, their families for their support, and to ALL teachers and schools for partnering with us to integrate outstanding choral education amongst Tucson's choir students. Happy Wednesday!

For National Arts in Education Week, the Tucson Girls Chorus will be featuring renowned music educators surrounding the Tucson community to share our appreciation towards their impact to music education, our students, and arts advocacy throughout Arizona!

Today's arts teacher highlight is Mrs. Shirleen Lee!

Mrs. Lee works with the Catalina Foothills School District at Ventana Vista Elementary, where she teaches K-5 General Music, 4-5th Grade Choir, and 5th Grade Band. She also serves on the Arizona Music Educators Board and is the president of the Tucson Flute Club!

Happy National Arts in Education Week! Americans for the Arts

This week, the Tucson Girls Chorus will be featuring renowned music educators surrounding the Tucson community to share our appreciation towards their impact to music education, our students, and arts advocacy throughout Arizona!

Our first arts teacher highlight is Mrs. Aubry Wilkes!

Mrs. Wilkes works with the Vail School District at Empire High School, where she is the Choir Director, Steel Band Director, and Guitar Teacher. She also is an associate conductor with us at TGC for the east side Ladybugs and Hummingbirds choirs!

We are so grateful for our community partners and for providing a rehearsal space in August while our building underwent emergency repairs. And thank you to Parks & Recreation, Pima County Facilities Management, and for helping us minimize the time away from our space. We are so grateful-- and we are also thrilled to be back in our better-than-ever rehearsal hall!

The Jubilate Choir is also still enrolling for the Tucson Girls Chorus 2026-2027 Season! The Jubilate Choir is the second most advanced ensemble at TGC, and is for any girl in grades 8-12 who is interested in singing. Members of the Jubilate Choir perform 8-10 concerts per year throughout Tucson, and tour nationally once per year!

The Hummingbirds Choir is enrolling for the Tucson Girls Chorus 2026-2027 Season! The Hummingbirds Choir is for 4th and 5th graders who are interested in singing and eager to explore their potential. With no prior experience necessary, the Hummingbirds build confidence singing in two and three part textures, develop appropriate vocal tone, identify musical symbols, and much more!
