Tucson School for the Blind

It was so nice to see students in school today for our free art workshop. The students made bath bombs, soap, candles, necklaces, and artistic Braille cells.

Meet Laura "LP" Aragon, Co-Founder and K–8 Teacher at TSB!

With 15 years in education—including the last 9 years dedicated to students who are blind or visually impaired—LP brings an incredible blend of expertise, compassion, and high expectations to every classroom she enters.

As a certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with a Master's in Special Education and experience teaching every grade from Kindergarten through 8th, LP is passionate about helping students thrive academically while building confidence and independence.

When she's not inspiring students, you'll find her spending time with her family, traveling, and embracing new adventures.

We're so excited for you to get to know LP and the heart she brings to the TSB community.

🌟 Staff Highlight: Meet Kimberly "Kimmi" Dotseth! 🌟

The Tucson School for the Blind is excited to welcome Kimberly "Kimmi" Dotseth as our Co-Founder and High School Teacher, Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI). Kimmi brings 10 years of experience from the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB) and holds degrees from Northern Illinois University in Physical Education/Health, Adapted Physical Education, and Visual Impairments.

She is passionate about individualized, student-centered instruction and believes that every student can achieve greater independence and success with the right support.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Kimmi to the Tucson School for the Blind family! We are thrilled to have her expertise, passion, and dedication as part of our growing community. 🎉
