🌐 Technology is changing the way we live, work and connect—and the University of Arizona College of Information Science is preparing students to lead that change.

The Bachelor of Arts in Emerging Technologies in Society equips students with the skills to understand and shape the impact of technologies like artificial intelligence, extended reality, information security and social media. In the debut episode of InfoSci Voices, Library & Information Science master’s student Riqué Duhamell Escobedo reflects on their experience leading a Mexican embroidery workshop as a recipient of the JustArts Fellowship. Through teaching, creating and community engagement, Riqué shares how the experience transformed their understanding of what it means to be a maker — expanding it beyond craft to include connection, culture and storytelling.
