San Xavier Mission School is the first Catholic school in AZ, established in 1864, and collaborates w/ the Department of Catholic Schools to plan curriculum and programs.

Our students and staff gathered in the chapel for a meaningful time of Eucharistic Adoration, creating a peaceful and prayerful space. In the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, our school community came together to sing, pray, listen, and reflect.

Through prayer and quiet reflection, our students had the chance to slow down, be still, and realize that Jesus is truly present with us. It was a beautiful reminder that prayer is not only about talking to God but also about making space to listen to Him.

We especially thank Fr. Chris for presiding over our time of Adoration, leading us in prayer, and sharing the Gospel reading with our school community. His presence and reflection helped guide our students toward a deeper understanding of God’s love and the importance of keeping Christ at the center of our lives.
What a blessing it was to see our students and staff come together in faith, reverence, and prayer.

May the peace we felt in the chapel stay in our hearts and remind us to walk with Jesus in all that we do.

On behalf of the entire San Xavier Mission School staff, faculty, students, and families, we extend our heartfelt prayers to Sister Rosalyn and Sister Rachel, who celebrated their jubilees at today’s Community Mass:

Sr. Rosalyn; Diamond Jubilee—60 years professed as a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity and serving as Intervention Specialist at our school.

Sr. Rachel; Golden Jubilee—50 years professed as a member of the Dominican Sisters of Peace and serving as Director of Religious Education at our parish.

Thank you, God, for sending us your special servants to work alongside us as coworkers in your vineyard. Our community is truly blessed to have them.

Thank you to our parents and guardians who attended our Back-to-School Night, as well as to our staff and faculty who organized the presentations and learning spaces.

Additionally, we thank Fr. Chris for taking the time to show his support and meet the families, and Lauren from NAU, who provided information on Northern Arizona University’s Anericorp Seniors Program and how they are assisting our school community.

Thank you, Mr. Eric, from the San Xavier Healthy O'odham Promotion Program (HOPP), for taking the time to come and coordinate physical activities with our students.

We truly appreciate our partnership with HOPP, as their services help improve our students’ physical health, enhance their brain function and focus, and teach teamwork — blessings that reflect the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We are proud of our San Xavier Mission School students (and one alumni) who helped the San Xavier Mama:liya Feast Committee with their morning procession up the Grotto to Mass and the evening procession honoring our Blessed Mother’s Assumption into Heaven.

They looked beautiful in their First Holy Communion outfits, just like on the day they first received Jesus. Thank you to the San Xavier Saint Mary’s Feast Committee for all their hard work coordinating the festivities for the Community.

Our SXM School students lovingly honored Mary, our Blessed Mother, through prayer, song, and offering her flowers in celebration of her Assumption into Heaven.

Thank you to Fr. Chris for leading us in prayer, Principal Solorzano for guiding us in song, and Ms. Gloria for teaching us to call Mary, T-Je’e (our Mother), along with the observances of the Saint Mary’s Feast Committee happening this weekend.

Prayer:
Mary, Queen assumed into heaven, we rejoice that after years on earth, you were taken to your throne in heaven by the Holy Trinity. From this earth, we look to you for help and ask for your intercession.

Since reopening, the San Xavier Mission School has achieved remarkable progress. We take pride in being a close-knit school with a staff and faculty dedicated to our students' success. It’s exciting to imagine the blessings God has in store for us this year.

Our school is committed to providing personalized academic support, building strong community connections, and honoring the traditions of the Tohono O'odham & Sasanto himdag.

We currently have openings in Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grades. Thanks to our generous financial aid program, families can focus on what matters most—education—without the burden of tuition or meal costs.

As we begin this new school year, we pause to thank YOU for the gift of learning and the opportunity to grow. In this same month, we honor the Assumption of your Blessed Mother into Heaven. Through her intercession, we ask for your blessing over every student, teacher, faculty member, and family. Cover our school with your protection, fill our days with kindness and grace, and help us to walk in love toward one another. May this be a year of unity and joy. Most of all, help us to honor you in all we do.
