🥚🐔 The Great Eggspectations Challenge of 2026–27 has begun!

Every other Friday, St. Michael’s School joins St. Michael & All Angels Church and St. Alban’s Church in an “Egg Roll” of donated hard-boiled eggs for Casa Maria Soup Kitchen, which serves more than 700 people each day.

Last Friday, 4th Grade rolled in 522 eggs, beating 8th Grade’s 198 in the first round of this year’s race for the coveted Golden Chicken trophy! 🏆🐔

And look what one of our 8th Grade students was packing into lunch bags while serving at Casa Maria on Monday: 4th Grade’s eggs! 🥚 The eggs provide a healthy snack that guests can eat with lunch or tuck into a pocket for later.

From St. Michael’s on Friday to Casa Maria on Monday - this is service learning in action!

Be sure to check out the chalk art in the park! Ms. Courtney and Ms. Jenny collaborated with our 1st and 2nd graders this morning on a special social-emotional learning art project centered on welcome and belonging.🫶

Through creating art for others, students explored how each of us can help make our school a more welcoming place. The activity helps build community, show kindness, and help others feel that they belong.

A beautiful reminder that even our youngest students can make a meaningful difference in our school community. ❤️

🫧 Adding measurement to bubble science!
Kindergarten scientists in Dr. Kelley's class explored the properties of bubbles—but we added one simple twist: measurement.
Each student counted quietly to themselves to measure how long their bubble stayed a bubble before it POPPED. 🫧💥
Suddenly, bubble play became observing, measuring, comparing, and collecting data.
Little scientists. Big scientific thinking. 🔬🫧✨ 🔬
