We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Matthew Teller as the next Head of School for St. Michael’s School beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
Dr. Teller brings a deep understanding of the St. Michael’s community through his many years of service as a parent, faculty member, administrator, and former Associate Head of School. His longstanding commitment to the mission of St. Michael’s, combined with his leadership experience and deep ties to independent education in Southern Arizona, uniquely position him to lead the school into its next chapter.
Following a thoughtful and deliberate search process, the Board of Trustees and Vestry unanimously confirmed Dr. Teller’s appointment. We are grateful for the dedication and care shown throughout this process by our Search Committee and our entire community.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Teller and supporting him as he prepares to lead St. Michael’s School into an exciting future.
Congratulations, Dr. Teller!

Our 4th graders had an amazing time at the Instrument Petting Zoo hosted by the Instrumental Music Center! Students explored different instruments, asked questions, and discovered what sparks their interest as they begin thinking about band or choir for 5th grade next year. A huge thank you to Instrumental Music Center for making music come alive for our students!

Watch out world! We have some "Super Scientists" here at St. Michael's School. Each year, Dr. Kelley recognizes special lower school students not just for their content knowledge, but for their curiosity, persistence, creativity, and a willingness to take risks in learning. Today we celebrate our 1st grade Super Scientists: Nicholas from 1B and Jack from 1A. Keep exploring and being curious! ⚛🔬
