Happy Black History Month!
Black History is American History. At Tucson Tutor, we are committed to honoring the diverse histories, heritages, and cultures that shape our world—especially those that have been marginalized or have faced attempts to be erased.
This month, explore meaningful ways to learn about Black History with your kids. Visit thetucsontutor.com throughout February for book recommendations and resources to spark curiosity and conversation.
Be curious. Be intentional. Keep learning.
Together, let’s celebrate, educate, and inspire. ✨

At Tucson Tutor, we believe in the power of education to transform lives, empower individuals, and build a more inclusive world.
As we witness disheartening shifts in educational policies and the widespread abandonment of DEI initiatives, we remain steadfast in our commitment to fostering a safe, equitable learning environment for all students. We proudly support trans children, LGBTQIA+ rights, and the fight against racism and sexism in education.
We also stand firm in our dedication to teaching history honestly. Attempts to erase or distort history, silence marginalized voices, or exclude essential perspectives have no place in education. Learning should be truthful, reflective, and inclusive—ensuring every student sees themselves represented and valued.
Every child deserves an education that affirms their identity and upholds their dignity. We will continue advocating for inclusive education that celebrates diversity and actively challenges prejudice.
We are here for all learners—now and always.
