Thank you for your contributions, insights and guidance. The second multi-sector convening would not have happened without you. We are indeed (to quote Zach) doing something very special here in Pima County. - Kelly Griffith

ECE Investment Needs Survey 10/22/2025

Letter from Monica Brinkerhoff ๐Ÿ“ƒโœ‰๏ธ

Dear colleagues,

We know that the early childhood system has a long history of underinvestment, resulting in critical gaps in services, accessibility, affordability, wages for the ECE workforce, and quality.

A team in Pima County, from First Things First and United Way of Tucson, are working on creating a list of our most critical funding needs and possible sources of funding to address those needs. Funding sources will include both public and private sources/strategies.

From there, we will share the options with the community and work to prioritize possible actions that are most realistic and address the unique needs of the local community.

We are seeking initial input from anyone affected by the early care and education system, including those from the ECE field, parents, employers, businesses, higher education, and any other community member that understands that early care and education is crucial to a healthy and strong community.

Please fill out this brief survey to provide your perspective on what the most critical funding needs are as they relate to early care and education, and feel free to share with your networks. And stay tuned for more information to come as the plan continues to evolve.
