Best Friends Club Afterparty is today! 🤍🧼
Today at 12 PM Arizona time, Best Friends Club members are meeting live for our White Month Afterparty.
🎉🎉And this one is extra exciting.
We’re continuing the Myth Busting work and making the soaps for a new long-term DOS experiment. We’ll be looking at specific variables to see whether we can get closer to understanding what causes dreaded orange spots.
If this experiment gives us real answers about DOS, that would be a pretty amazing soapy discovery!!!!
Best Friends Club members, log in and grab the Zoom link from the lesson.
And if you want access to the extra afterparties, deeper experiments, and behind-the-scenes testing, this is a great time to join Best Friends Club.

White Month live class is today! 🤍🌈
Today at 12 PM Arizona time, Soapy Friends members are meeting live for our White Month all-member class.
We’ll make small, unscented test batches so we can compare four different “whites” and see what uncolored soap really looks like before we add color.
This month we’re looking at the things that affect white soap, including base oils, water, temperature, gel phase, and kaolin clay.
Members, log in and grab the Zoom link from the lesson!
And if you’ve been meaning to join us, today is a great day to become a Soapy Friends member and hop into class live.

Soapmaking is fun... cleaning up afterward? Not so much. 🫧
There are a few simple things I do to make cleanup easier, help protect my plumbing, and keep my soapmaking workspace under control.
In my newest blog post, I'm sharing my complete cleanup routine, including:
🧼 Why I let my dishes sit overnight
🧼 Whether soap batter should go down the drain
🧼 Why I always wash with Dawn dish soap
🧼 What I use for general pipe maintenance
If you've ever looked at a sink full of soapmaking dishes and wondered where to start, this one's for you.

This is the week, soapy friends! 🤍🌈
White Month is now open inside Soapy Friends, and our live classes are coming up this weekend.
This month, we’re looking at white soap as the “un-color” of natural soapmaking.
We’ll talk about what affects white soap, including oils, water, temperature, gel phase, and clay. Then in the all-member live class, we’ll make small test batches so we can compare four different “whites” side by side.

Heads up, soapy friends — the Year of the Rainbow continues Saturday, August 1st with White Month! 🤍🌈
The White Month lessons will be available to Soapy Friends members, and this month we’re looking at what makes soap white, cream, ivory, pale yellow, or not-so-white-at-all.
We’ll talk about what affects white soap, including oils, water, temperature, gel phase, and clay. Then in the live all-member class, we’ll make small test batches so we can compare four different “whites” side by side.
And for Best Friends Club members, we have an extra special continuation of the Myth Busting class. We’re starting a new DOS experiment, and I think we might actually be getting closer to pinpointing what causes dreaded orange spots.
I am very excited about this one!🎉
