To help ensure a pleasant and meaningful visit, please review the following information and guidelines:
Guided Tour
This docent-led guided tour is complimentary. We kindly request each group member to bring a vegetarian canned food item (no meat, poultry, or fish) for donation to the Care Closet, a confidential school pantry serving families in Gwinnett County, GA. Please bring only canned items (no perishables or other packaging) to support ease of storage and distribution.
Group Size Note
If your group size drops below 10 participants, please notify us at [email protected] to cancel the guided tour. Smaller groups are welcome to visit independently and may use the audio tour available at the Gift & Book Shop. The Mandir is open daily and is best visited between 9:00 AM–12:00 PM or 4:00 PM–6:00 PM.
Lunch at Shayona Café
You may also arrange lunch as part of your visit at Shayona Café. With its all-vegetarian cuisine, Shayona Café offers a wonderful opportunity to experience traditional Indian flavors through its lunch buffet or fresh selections from the fast-food counter.
For lunch arrangements or menu options, please contact Himanshu Patel at (470) 394-9944 or email [email protected]. Shayona Café is open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Arrival
Upon arrival, please follow the directions at the security cabin for parking. After parking, gather by the Gift & Book Shop near the grand steps of the Mandir. Your assigned volunteer tour guide will meet you around your confirmed tour time.
Tour Details
The guided tour lasts approximately one hour and includes about 30 minutes of walking and/or standing. An accessible route is available via a ramp and elevator. We recommend that visitors exercise general caution on steps and uneven surfaces to help ensure a safe and comfortable experience. To accommodate all visitors, two small groups may occasionally be combined for a guided tour.
Daily Arti Ceremony at 11:15 AM
Visitors are welcome to attend the daily "arti" prayer ceremony at 11:15 AM, which lasts approximately 10 minutes. If your group arrives for a 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM or 11:00 AM tour, please let your tour guide know if you would like to attend the arti. The guide will adjust the tour flow where possible to help accommodate this experience. Please understand that attendance during the arti ceremony is subject to timing, available space in the prayer area, and visitor volume at that time.
Footwear
All visitors must remove their shoes at the designated drop-off area before entering the Mandir. We recommend wearing non-slip socks, as the marble floors may be cold.
Dress Code
To maintain a spiritual and dignified environment, we kindly request modest attire. Clothing should cover shoulders, chest, back, and knees. Please avoid sleeveless tops and short skirts.
Photography
Personal photography permitted from ground level outside only. No photography or videography inside the Mandir. No professional or commercial photography anywhere on campus
Weather and Closures
Management reserves the right to cancel or adjust visits due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience.
