WHAT SHOULD TODDLERS REALLY BE LEARNING? 🧸

Parents often ask us:

“Are they learning their ABCs?”
“Are they practicing numbers?”
“Can you send home worksheets?”

We understand why, parents want to see proof that their child is learning. But during the toddler years, learning should NOT look like sitting at a table tracing letters or completing worksheets.

At this age, PLAY IS LEARNING. 💚

Toddlers build the foundations for reading, writing, and math when they:

📚 Listen to stories
🎶 Sing songs and rhymes
💬 Talk and learn new words
🎨 Scribble, paint, and strengthen their hands
🖐️ Explore sensory materials

On July 23, our Armourvilla Avenue location received its quarterly unannounced inspection from NYS OCFS—and we are incredibly proud to share that we passed with flying colors! ✅

To us, this is about so much more than passing an inspection. It reflects our daily commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, high-quality program where every child is loved, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

Today, we received official confirmation from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services NYS OCFS that Koala Park Koala Park Daycare is in full compliance with all New York State regulations following our recent inspection.

To some, it’s just a letter.

To us… it’s the result of countless hours, unwavering dedication, teamwork, late nights, early mornings, continuous training, high standards, and an incredible amount of love poured into every single child who walks through our doors.

At Koala Park, we have always believed that quality childcare isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about creating a place where children feel safe, loved, respected, and inspired every single day.
