Today, our Two B Tribe had a very special visitor. Mrs. Isha welcomed Tevin Davis from Survivor Season 46 to help us kick off our school-year survivor theme, Explore, Grow & Thrive.

Tevin shared his Survivor torch with the children and helped bring the spirit of The Goddard School of Richmond’s theme to life.

Our teaching team joined in by wearing their Survivor shirts, too!

The tribe has spoken… today was an AWESOME day! 🌴🔥❤️

The thing about a Goddard preschooler is they’re going to be curious. Keep the questions coming 👏

Personally, we’d hire them as videographers 📹

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
