Kat Manton-Jones is a watercolor and mixed-media artist in the Arizona Sonora Desert. Her artwork is inspired by her curiosity, adventures, and studies. She frequently plays with new color combinations, textures, or techniques. She has completed two Artist Residencies in Guadalupe Mountains National Park (2018) and Arquetopia in Urubamba Peru (2023). As a recipient of the 2024-2025 Arts Heritage Grant Honoring Janet A. Tifft, she is creating a body of work that incorporates collage, assemblage, watercolor, and community in experimental art. She is a Saguaro Fellow in the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild, a member of the International Society of Experimental Artists, PaperWorks, Raices Taller, and Tubac Center of the Arts.
