Diné Policy Institute

Diné Policy Institute Housed at Diné College DPI envisions a Navajo Nation government that is accountable to its citizens by raising their quality of life.

Diné Policy Institute was established in 2005 as the research entity of Diné College. The purpose of DPI is to research key issues facing the Navajo Nation using the framework of Diné philosophy to inform its methods of data collection, analysis, and recommendations. With this research, DPI aims to provide meaningful policy recommendations for the Navajo Nation government.

We are excited to share that we are still accepting applications for A Student’s Journey, a 5-week on-campus summer experience at the University of Arizona designed for Tribal College students.

This program is open to students from any Tribal College and offers a unique opportunity to engage in academic and professional development while experiencing campus life.

The application deadline is January 26, so if you know of any students who might be interested, we encourage you to share this opportunity with them. Students are also welcome to reach out to us directly for more information.
