🎉 WE DID IT AGAIN! HTHS has been named the Cash for College MVP among large high schools in Alabama! 🏆
This award comes from Alabama Possible, a statewide nonprofit that works to remove barriers to college access. Their Cash for College campaign supports schools in helping students complete the FAFSA—a key step in making college affordable for many students.
Early outreach and strong student support helped HTHS stand out, even among schools in similar communities. This is a win for our students! 🙌
A cash grant will be awarded to the HTHS counseling department to support future college and career readiness activities.

Hewitt-Trussville has swept the Class 7A softball and baseball state championships!
We did just a little historical research into programs that won both softball and baseball titles in the same year. Here they are, dating back to 2000:
2019: Mars Hill (1A), GW Long (2A)
2018: GW Long (2A)
2008: Athens Bible (1A)
2005: Baker (6A)
2000: Hartselle (5A)
Hewitt-Trussville is the only Class 7A program to accomplish the feat.
State championships by sport now:
Hewitt Trussville Softball: 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, 2026
Hewitt-Trussville Baseball: 2016, 2026
