Summer Reading Challenge 06/02/2026

📚☀️ Summer Reading Challenge ☀️📚

Looking for a fun way to keep your child reading this summer? The White House and Second Lady Usha Vance are inviting students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade to participate in the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge!

Students who read 12 books between June 1 and September 4 can earn a personalized certificate and commemorative bookmark from the White House. Participants will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to visit Washington, D.C. and the White House.

Reading throughout the summer helps students maintain and strengthen the skills they worked so hard to build during the school year. We encourage our Paine Huskies to keep turning those pages all summer long!

🐾 BARK Bucks BIG Reward Day 🐾

What an unforgettable way to celebrate our students at Paine Elementary! 🎉

Throughout the year, students earned BARK Bucks for demonstrating outstanding behavior, leadership, kindness, responsibility, and positive choices around our school. Each week, one winner from every classroom was drawn to visit the BARK Cart, and those lucky winners were entered into our BIG end-of-year prize drawing!

Yesterday, our winners were surprised with an inflatable obstacle course experience filled with laughter, excitement, and tons of fun!

A huge THANK YOU to Abide Roofing for generously sponsoring this amazing reward for our students! We are also so grateful to our incredible PTO for keeping our BARK Cart stocked all year long with fun prizes and incentives that helped motivate and celebrate our students throughout the year.

At Paine, we are proud to recognize and reward students for making positive choices every single day.

❤️ One Pack. One BARK. 🩶

🏃‍♂️ Marathon Milestone Achieved! 🏃‍♀️

Huge congratulations to THREE of our incredible students who logged enough miles during PE this school year to complete a MARATHON and MORE! 👏🐾

Through hard work, perseverance, and dedication, these students truly went the extra mile — literally! Their commitment to fitness and personal goals is something to celebrate, and we are so proud of this accomplishment.

A marathon is 26.2 miles, and these students surpassed that milestone during PE running activities this year. What an amazing example of determination, healthy habits, and the power of consistency!

Way to go, Chandler Osborne, Barrett Gober, and Eli Headrick! Your Paine Pack is cheering you on every step of the way! ❤️🩶
