Our school leaders are sharing with us why they choose to lead in our Catholic schools.

Thank you, Barbara Logsdail, Principal at St. Theresa School, Trumbull for choosing us. We are so grateful to you! šŸ’œ
Last week the St. Theresa School, Trumbull celebrated the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima with Holy Mass followed by a May Crowning by their First Holy Communion class and praying the Consecration To the Blessed Virgin Mary by Pope Pius XII as a school community.

The students invited their grandparents to be their special guests, who then went and visited classrooms and enjoyed a reception in the school. Fr. Gannon encouraged all families to pray this consecration prayer in their own homes.
It's Day 25 of our 30 DAYS OF DISCOVERY! šŸ”Ž

Congratulations to the Preschool and Kindergarten Class of 2021 graduates at St. Theresa School, Trumbull! The good weather allowed them to enjoy a fun-filled morning with a parade, some reminiscing, photo ops, and warm embraces this weekend. How grateful everyone is for a tremendously rewarding year after these uncertain times.

ā€œWhere God guides. He provides.ā€ Isaiah 58:11

They are so grateful to their devoted Pastor Father Brian Gannon for once again leading the community in this celebration, escorted by school custodian Mr. John Ndou. As well as community heroes from the Trumbull Hill Volunteer Fire House #6, volunteers from the Bridgeport Police Department, and the
Trumbull Police Department who so generously gave of their time to help support this endeavor.
St. Theresa School, Trumbull recently celebrated Grandparent's Day with an oral spiritual bouquet after Mass and the Litany of the Saints led by Father Gannon. Each class presented a prayer in Latin or English for the intentions of their grandparents and special guests. The video here shows the talented Kindergarten class reciting their prayer.
The students at St. Theresa School, Trumbull were good stewards of God's creation during gym class today by cleaning up their beautiful campus!

"Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy." -Psalm 96:11-12

Our schools have been faced with many challenges this school year, one of which is fundraising efforts, but St. Theresa School, Trumbull students (and their alumnus Fr. Leopold) found a way to not only hold their walk-a-thon this year but took it a step further and did a Rosary Walk-A-Thon in their gym classes and prayed the Rosary for the intentions of their families and all of their benefactors!

Mrs. Fallon, congratulations and welcome to St. Theresa School. Although I will not have the opportunity to work with you, as I recently left my position as the Administrative Assistant there and relocated to Ohio, I wish you the best of luck. St. Theresa School will always hold a special place in my heart as both of my children attended K-8, and I enjoyed working with the teachers, staff and helping the students. God's blessings & guidance always. šŸ™šŸ»āœļøā¤ļø
Looking forward to a wonderful and healthy new school year! A heartfelt welcome Ms. Fallon

Our 5th grade held their annual Mother’s Day celebration. The children each wrote beautiful essays about their mothers which they read in front of the group. Then they served a lovely breakfast to their mothers and presented them with hand made gifts. The 2nd and 3rd grade students also honored their mothers. The 2nd graders served breakfast followed by reciting a poem and giving their mom crafts they made and the 3rd graders held a game time with mom and also had afternoon tea and snacks and cards which they wrote their moms. A photographer, our own school mom Camila Teo, generously took professional photos of the children with their moms. Mary Roman, another school mom, donated balloon decorations. Our HSA also hosted a plant sale in honor of Mothers Day. A wonderful and memorable day was enjoyed by all!

For the feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas, our school community came together for Eucharistic Adoration following weekly Mass. Fr. Gannon met with each of the grade levels this week for instruction, and today he spoke to them at Mass about St. Thomas and adoration. Our students are learning the prayers, hymns and proper genuflection so that they may more reverently adore Our Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Our Story

Saint Theresa School is a Catholic community grounded in faith, supported by hope, and surrounded by love that welcomes families and students of Pre-K through 8th grade with diverse backgrounds. We provide an academically challenging curriculum in which all students can learn within the framework of Catholic principles; recognizing the dignity and uniqueness of each student.

St. Theresa School is adapting a Catholic Classical Education curriculum starting in the 2020-2021 school year. This is a philosophy of education that puts Jesus Christ at its center. This affects what we teach and how we teach. Catholic Classical Education is ordered to the Truth that sets us free. It is intrinsically beautiful and good and nourishes the soul because it points to God in all aspects. This formation frees children and the entire school community for growth in faith, wisdom, and virtue. Further, studies show that students who are educated in this model outperform their peers in standardized testing. However most importantly, with their parents, we are helping the children to get to Heaven.
