Sit and let them take a moment to figure it out, picture it, read it through again and again and then even again. Read it out loud and watch some videos on things.

Made up a game and putting together care plans, busy day learning.
Dyslexic children struggle with spelling, however they see problems in a way NT brains never can, learning to see that the dyslexia doesn't need to hold them back is vital.

Making up games to learn how to spell helps.
So some laminated numbers, pomp pumps and strws are all you will need. Thisplay on shuffle boards is done!
Not to forget to mention lung function for that asthmatic dyslexic student.

Getting the ball rolling slowly..
Prep is vital.
So the MI ( heart attack ) victims are in place...next we need to draw a cross section of the heart and vessels. That we will do Wed..nes...day!

I am considering doing a live dissection. Reviewing the kidneys and the renal system...
Would anyone be interested in this?
I will do an overview and a sample of how if you are struggling to teach this in your homeschool or your child is interested and their schools do not do dissections it is easy enough to do or have me tutor them through a tough subject.
I will do the "gross" so you do not have too.

Ok...sorry been working and lessons have started up.

I have taught tons of kids of all ages from dissections to illness and pathology.
I will ask some people who have been to a dissection so they can tell you what it involves.

Been a while, getting ready for the up and coming year with the boys.
We will be doing our first reading with "The Last Of the Mohicans" we will have a hand out for questions to be answered.
I read this out loud, as many times those with Dyslexia will have a better working memory with Auditory, (so listening to a book vs reading a book) the worksheets will be how I know that they are having comprehension of the story.
The fact is, finding a way that works with your kids and self as a dyslexic is key to your education. NO MATTER how old you are and no matter what degrees you have or may not have in this life.
The moment you stop learning, is the day that you stop living.
