Sunday night July 12th kicks off GrassRoots week and Culture Camp with a H***y Tonk/Country Dance Night w/ The Alum Ridge Boys & Ashlee. alumridgeboys.com We are in for a treat this fine bands traditional old-time country h***y tonk!
The dinners and the dances all week are also a community event and are open to the public. All are welcome to come start the GrassRoots week early under the dance tent!

Excited to have Jake M Blount join us this year at GrassRoots Culture Camp Jake Blount (pronounced: blunt) is an award-winning scholar and performer of Black folk music based in Providence, RI. Initially recognized for his skill as a string band musician, Blount has charted an unprecedented, Afrofuturist course on his pilgrimage through sound archives and song collections. In his hands, the banjo, fiddle, electric guitar and synthesizer become ceremonial objects used to channel the insurgent creativity of his forebears.
