💥 TTEA SHOWED UP! 💥

Last night, we showed the District what solidarity looks like. Whether you stood shoulder to shoulder at the Board meeting or emailed Trustees ahead of time—your voice was heard.

💬 Members shared healthcare cost impacts using our calculator, and the numbers are clear:
📉 An average 5% decrease in take-home pay = a real pay cut.

The District says “fiscal caution”—but the Reserve for Economic Uncertainty is at 15%, right inside the Board’s own target range of 10–16%.
💰 The money is there. What’s missing? The will to invest in educators.

Loopholes in our current system have paved the way for waste and fraud in charter schools, with high profile cases of charter school founders stealing hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars. That is money that should be spent on educators and our students. We deserve better.

Now, charter school lobbyists are pushing SB 414, a bill that would make the problem even worse by making it easier for bad actors to pad their pockets while weakening existing requirements for non-classroom charter schools to prioritize spending on student learning. Instead of closing loopholes, SB 414 creates new ones.

SB 414 will hurt our classrooms because it:

Cuts funding for students and teachers, allowing charter schools to hide money meant for classrooms.
Ignores oversight problems in the industry.
Focuses on charter school rebranding, rather than accountability.

Tell your legislator to vote NO on SB 414!

We are thrilled to announce that we've reached a Tentative Agreement with TTUSD! 🙌 Thanks to a collaborative effort with the TTUSD bargaining team, TTUSD School Board and Superintendent Kramer, we have a settlement that we're excited to share with you.

The agreement includes:

✅ **Improved Compensation**
✅ **Enhanced Healthcare Benefits**
✅ **Positive Changes to Contract Language**

This aligns with the District’s Strategic Plan Framework and is the result of your valuable feedback from member surveys and insights across our district.
