There’s a first time for everything, and we think choosing to step up to the starting line is already a win!

Our Middle School XC runners took on a challenging, hilly course at Friday’s Warrior Trail Meet at officialgwhs, competing alongside more than 300 athletes from 18 schools.

Myles (7th) and Booker (6th) pushed each other all the way to the finish, placing 26th and 27th out of 95 runners. Bechler (6th) stayed close behind, finishing 31st.

And Cate (6th) chose to take a risk and enter her very first race, finishing 31st out of 52 runners. 👏🏽

That’s the kind of confidence that comes from doing something before you know exactly how it will go!

Way to run, Hawks! 🧡

Today's Senior Spotlight celebrates Barett, who will be attending to study Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Barett joins one of the nation's most selective institutions, where he will continue developing as a scholar, leader, and future officer.

Whether pursuing academic interests, taking on new challenges, or charting an ambitious path toward military service, he has consistently demonstrated the determination and curiosity needed to turn big goals into reality.

His advice to younger students reflects one of the lessons he learned along the way:

"At TEA, students are given the freedom to explore their passions to an extraordinary degree. The truth is that the only restriction at TEA is your own motivation. Once you realize that, there is no limit."

Congratulations, Barett! 💙

Rain, snow, or shine, our tennis players showed up!

Over the past two months, TEA students in grades 7–11 hit the courts twice a week to build skills, challenge themselves, and enjoy the game alongside teammates.

From refining fundamentals to developing new techniques, these athletes demonstrated the same perseverance and positive attitude that make school sports so valuable.

A huge thank you to Coach Eric, Coach Jamie, and Coach Monika for sharing their time, expertise, and enthusiasm with our student-athletes throughout the season! 🎾

Today's Senior Spotlight celebrates Jameson "Jamo" Drum, who will be embarking on a gap year filled with new adventures and opportunities.

If you've spent time around Jamo, you've likely experienced his easygoing spirit, sense of humor, and willingness to jump into whatever comes next. Over the years, he's grown into someone who approaches life with curiosity, courage, and an openness to new experiences.

His family describes it best: "Jamo is living his best life and we're just along for the ride."

That spirit has carried him through expeditions, friendships, challenges, and countless memories along the way. And now it's leading him into a gap year designed for even more exploration and growth.

We can't wait to see where the next adventure takes you, Jamo!

Today's Senior Spotlight celebrates Soren, who will be attending to study Forestry.

Throughout his time at TEA, Soren embraced the challenges that come with learning beyond the classroom. Whether in the backcountry, on expedition, or navigating life's inevitable setbacks, he learned that growth doesn't come from avoiding difficulty. It comes from moving through it.

His advice to younger students reflects that perspective:

"TEA gives you opportunities to mold who you are. To be capable, but more importantly, feel capable; to have the confidence in yourself to face life with your head held high."

Congratulations, Soren! Go Griz.
