Looking back at proper carb loading and fueling during an active run vacation in Italy 🇮🇹 and France 🇫🇷 It’s important to stay properly fueled ⛽️ when you’re active. Especially to have the energy to explore new places and trails.

Fun to put a race bib on. And challenging. And always a lot to learn. Fun local trail race in Italy 🇮🇹 this past weekend. Wasn’t planning on racing but seemed like a “fun” way to experience a local loop.

Travel is tiring. When traveling for trail running or cross country skiing, it’s important to keep in mind. Planning out travel for XC ski races or trail running camps, it makes a big difference to ensure you can recover from travel before having to race or log big hours.

Building in a day or two to recover after traveling is ideal to ensure better quality training on the XC ski trails or running trails.

Looking back to last fall running in Tuscany. Definitely a hidden side of trail running. Lots of landscapes that you’d expect but with some darn fun trails to explore on foot. Running is such a fun way to experience a place. Amazing to see all the trails that are popping up in this part of Tuscany and Italy.
