Yay! What a great experience.

Thank you all for taking the time to vote for our amazing middle school as the winner of the People's Choice award for this year's Kids Capital Region CANstruction! We had so much fun crafting our cascading waterfall and seeing the kids work together.

The People's Choice Award for Kids CAN Build 2024 goes to Hudson Ridge for their waterfall display! Congratulations! Thank you so much to everyone who participated and made this year so incredible.

Thanks to everyone who donated cans! All of the donations will go to the Shalom Food Pantry.

The owls have landed!! The 3-4 class has added finishing touches to their owl sculptures. Students first drew out their ideas and added color. Then brought their idea from the flat paper and a dream to a 3D piece!

The Middle School participated in the Kids CAN Build Competition at Crossgates Mall. This year's theme was camping, and students created a “Cascading Waterfall” out of donated food cans.
We came away with two awards so far: the “Most Creative Interpretation” award and the overall award, “The Judge’s Choice Award.” Help us win the "People's Choice Award" by liking our "Cascading Waterfall" image: https://www.facebook.com/CapitalRegionCanstruction/

The first and second-grade class has been hard at work, becoming great writers! So far, we've learned about and have been practicing using capitals and punctuation, using verbs that show action and/or emotion, and adding details to our story (exploding the moment) to give the reader more information. We have some blooming authors ready to share their stories with the world!

We don't need to sit still to learn new things! The middle school competed in their end-of-unit soccer tournament. After finishing their round-robin matches, two teams faced off in the championship game. Seeing them utilize all the skills they've learned throughout the season is fun!

Slime-tastic Adventures with the pre-K 4 crew! They dove headfirst into the gooey world of slime-making! Not only are we squishing and stretching our way to math mastery, but we’re also teaming up and sharpening our direction-following skills. Whipping up this ooey-gooey delight was a top pick for us.

What's the best way to celebrate the end of a pumpkin plant's lifecycle unit?

Making pie of course! The 1-2 class joyfully worked together to make a delicious pumpkin pie.
