월요일 아침, 전라남도교육청 1층 로비가 활력으로 가득 찼습니다.

출근하시는 직원분들께 센터 팸플릿과 홍보물을 나눠드리며 반가운 인사를 건넸는데요. 준비한 홍보물 300부가 단 1시간 만에 소진될 만큼 뜨거운 관심을 보여주셨습니다.

반갑게 응원과 격려를 보내주신 교육감님, 그리고 전남교육청 마스코트 ‘창조’와 트로이대학교 마스코트 ‘로이’가 함께하며 더욱 뜻깊은 홍보의 장이 되었습니다.

월요일 아침을 빛내주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다.

Monday morning at the Jeollanam-do Office of Education was full of energy.

We greeted staff members and handed out K-EDU Center brochures and promotional materials. Thanks to the tremendous interest, all 300 brochures were gone within just one hour!

A special thanks to the governor of Education, Dae-jung Kim for the encouragement and support. It was also great to see “Changjo,” the Jeollanam-do Office of Education mascot, and “Roy,” Troy University’s mascot, together for this special event.

April 22, 2026 I K-WAVE DAY: 한글에 스며들다

한국에 대한 관심이 날로 높아지는 가운데,
이번에는 '한글'을 주제로 특별한 시간을 가졌습니다.
세종대왕이 만든 과학적이고 배우기 쉬운 한글, 원리부터 실전 회화까지!

혹시나 어렵지 않을까 걱정도 되었지만,
예상보다 훨씬 능숙하게 한글을 읽어내는 학생들의 모습이 인상적이었습니다.
그 비결을 묻자 '런닝맨'과 K-드라마 덕분이라며 환하게 웃었습니다.

자기 이름을 한글로 쓰고, 한글 이름 팔찌를 만드는 체험도 함께 진행되었습니다.
특히 TrojanVision News와 The Tropolitan 기자가 방문해,
학생들의 활동과 인터뷰를 생생히 담아갔습니다.
함께 배우고 소통하며 즐거움과 보람이 배가 된 하루.

K-에듀센터의 선한 영향력이 널리 퍼지길 바라며, 다음 이야기도 기대해주세요!

As interest in Korea grows, this session focused on “Hangul,” the Korean alphabet.
From King Sejong's scientific writing system to basic conversation practice, students experienced both learning and fun.
Although it seemed challenging at first, students read Hangul more fluently than expected. When asked why, they smiled and said it was thanks to “Running Man” and K-dramas.
They also wrote their names in Hangul and made Korean bracelets.
TrojanVision News and The Tropolitan visited the event and captured the activities and interviews on site.
A meaningful day filled with learning, connection, and joy at K-EDU Center.

대한민국 전라남도교육청 대표단이 트로이대학교를 방문했습니다!
호텔·관광·스포츠경영학과(HSTM) 학과장인 구기용 교수님, 박광호 교수님, 경영학과 이주한 교수님, 그리고 K-에듀센터 직원들이 대표단을 따뜻하게 맞이했습니다.

대표단은 2026 Trojan Tribute 행사에 참석하여,
학업과 운동 모든 분야에서 뛰어난 성과를 보인 학생들의 열정과 환대, 헌신에 깊은 감명을 받았습니다.
또한 잭 확킨스 총장님과 만남을 통해, 이번 방문이 더욱 뜻깊은 시간이 되었습니다.

아울러 대표단을 행사에 초청해주신 힐러리 박사님과
대표단을 환영해주신 마리아 국제학생처 학장님, 그리고 스포츠 경영클럽을 소개해준 피에르 학생 회장에게도 깊이 감사드립니다.

Delegation from the Jeollanam-do Office of Education (South Korea) visited Troy University 🤝🇰🇷
Dr. Win Koo (Chair of HSTM), Dr. Kwangho Park (HSTM faculty member), and Dr. Joohan Lee (Management faculty member), along with K-Center staffs, extended their hospitality to the delegation.
The delegation attended the 2026 Trojan Tribute 🏆 and were impressed by the energy, hospitality, and dedication of our student-athletes, excelling both academically and athletically ⚔️
They had a meaningful meeting with Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, making this visit even more special.
We hope this experience builds strong, lasting connections between Korea and TROY.
Special thanks to Dr. Hilary Parkin for inviting us to the 2026 Trojan Tribute, to Maria Frigge (Dean of International Student Services) for welcoming the delegation, and to Sport Management Club President Pierre Boerkey for introducing the club to our guests.

April 13-16, 2026 l Cooperation Visit

K-에듀센터에 전라남도교육청 체육건강과장님과 관계자분들이 방문해 주셨습니다!

경영대학과는 교원 온라인 학위과정 프로그램 개설 추진을,
국제학생서비스센터와는 전남교육청이 주관하는 대입정보박람회에 트로이대학의 참여를,
대학 본부와는 상호 협력 방안을 심도 있게 논의했습니다.
또한 트로이대학 운동부 관계자들과 캠퍼스 스포츠 시설을 둘러보고, 운동선수 시상식과 학업 우수자 표창식에 공식 초청되어 소개되는 시간도 가졌습니다.
아울러 총장님과 만남을 통해 양 기관 간 신뢰를 공고히 했습니다.

전남-트로이의 긴밀한 교육 협력이, 현장에서 의미 있는 성과로 이어지도록 노력하겠습니다!

The officials from the Physical Education and Health Division of the Jeollanam-do Office of Education (JNE) visited the K-EDU Center. Online Master's program development for teachers with the College of Business,Troy’s participation in the JNE-hosted college admissions fair with the ISS, and cooperation discussions with the Vice Chancellor.
Campus sports facility tour with the Athletics Assistant Director, and introduction at the 12th Annual Trojan Tribute Athlete Awards Banquet and Honors Convocation 2026. In addition, a meeting with the Chancellor further strengthened mutual trust between our institutions.
We will continue to strengthen Jeonnam–Troy educational collaboration for meaningful outcomes.

다른 문화와 시스템, 생각의 방식, 그리고 언어가 있습니다.
우리는 그 차이를 마주할 때마다 간극을 발견합니다.
그리고 그 간극을 이해하고 메우기 위해 반성적 사고를 합니다.
이것이 저희 센터 연구 모델의 핵심입니다.
경험을 통해 성찰하고, 다음 단계를 준비하며, 결국 목표에 도달합니다.

저희 센터 역시 새로운 경험 속에서 배우고 성장하고 있습니다.
이번 프리젠테이션은 큰 도전이었지만,
많은 노력과 아낌없는 조언 덕분에, 성공적으로 마칠 수 있었습니다.
센터를 방문하는 모든 학생들도,
다양한 경험을 통해 스스로를 돌아보고,
그 성찰을 성장의 기회로 만들기 바랍니다.
우리는 이것을 '글로컬 역량'이라고 부르고자 합니다.
'From Experience to Global Competency'

There are different cultures, systems, ways of thinking, and languages.
Whenever we face these differences, we find a 'gap.' To understand and bridge this gap, we practice reflective thinking. This is the core of our center’s research model: Learning through experience, reflecting on it, preparing for the next step, and finally reaching our goals.
Our center is also learning and growing through new experiences.
This presentation was a big challenge, but thanks to hard work and excellent guidance, we completed it successfully.
We hope all students visiting our center will reflect on themselves through various experiences and turn that reflection into an opportunity for growth.
We call this 'Glocal Competency.' From Experience to Global Competency.
