When reporter, Josh Boutwell contacted me with the idea to author an article about a transformative experience that profoundly impacted my life, I promptly accepted. Through confronting my obstacles directly, I discovered a profound sense of empowerment and growth. I share my story often, trusting that it may inspire others and foster positive change.

Fredrick Lowery, gave an amazing presentation…Deuteronomy 6:12 , “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.”

Here are the facts…

Black youth are arrested, charged, and detained at rates significantly higher than their white counterparts for similar offenses. For example, Black youth make up roughly 14% of the U.S. youth population but account for 42% of juvenile arrests and incarcerations.

Too many of our boys are either being buried in cemeteries or buried in prisons.

They need US!
