RPIgnite

RPIgnite The heartbeat of Rensselaer is always looking for new talent, regardless of past drumming experience. What are you waiting for?

RPIgnite Drumline was founded in the spring of 2013 by Trent DeVerter '16 with the hopes of becoming the first campus drumline. Currently, RPIgnite brings down the house with its array of trash cans, buckets, and anything else that makes sound. RPIgnite is more than just a drumline; it's a show, and we always try to engage the audience with our humor and acting as much as with our music. Our goal is to eventually perform using marching percussion, but trash cans certainly work in the meantime. RPIgnite has roughly 20 members, and about half had no drumming experience before joining. We really aren't kidding when we say we're always looking for new talent!
