Counting to 100 and practicing some simple three letter words - it's just amazing how far our PreK class has come this year!

Finally some sunshiny days! The PreK took an exploration activity outside. They are using a mortal and pestle to make dandelion juice. Because - who doesn't want a little dandelion soup?

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. We have special things planned for our teachers all week! Have you appreciated a teacher today?

This week our toddlers created corn on the cob pictures and played with "bottling" gems and beans in the sensory table. Squeezing out that glue, twisting and turning those bottle caps, and picking up beans and gems are all great ways to practice the fine motor skills needed for writing later on.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays our three year olds enjoy our exploration room for morning learning time. Learning by play is the very best way. Today they hunted for worms in the dirt, practiced pouring filling in the water table, experimented with clay, and nursed a fed sick babies.

Today is learning center day in the preschool room. We practice our ABC's and 123's in fun ways. This is teacher-directed learning. Come back tomorrow to see us in the Exploration Room - where children lead out in the learning process.

It's almost time for summer fun at TAAP. Waterplay and outdoor art. Special classes and activities. And plenty of fun in the sun. We have summer spaces available for children ages 2-12.

A Friendship Banquet. Can you join us?!

In the last couple weeks, two of our staff members have lost loved ones in India to COVID. Some of you may have experienced this also. Some may be wondering and worrying about their families so far away. Our board members and some staff members have chosen to make donations to ADRA in honor of these lost family members. Perhaps you would like to do the same. So we are making this information available to you. Take some time to explore ADRA’s work at adra.org. This relief agency is already working in India and around the world, providing much needed supplies and services.
