Woodland Elementary

On our last day of school, we honor our friend and colleague, Mrs. McIntyre. After nearly 40 years of dedicated service, Mrs. McIntyre will be retiring. She has touched the lives of students at Woodland for about fifteen years, creating a safe, respectful, and memorable experience for her students regardless of the grade she taught. We will be forever grateful for her service to our community and wish her a joyful and peaceful time in her retirement!

We are excited to celebrate our 5th grade students at Clap Out on Thursday, June 11th at 10:30. Families are invited to meet us in the back of the building as your fifth graders take their final lap around the Woodland track.

Families are welcome to stay and take pictures with our outdoor sign. If you are taking your child home from clap out, you must see either Ms. Hockman or Ms. Ms. McNaughton for the sign out sheet.

Students are allowed to stay until the end of the school day; however, no parents will be allowed in the building.*

* We closely monitoring the inclement weather in the forecast. Should that impact our plans, we will be sure to communicate the morning of the event!

Field Day for TK-2nd grade students was an absolute BLAST! Students loved the chance to participate in all the activities include the inflatable slides then tie-dye their own t-shirts.

Did you know that the colors students use in their tie-dye represents their current class color and their class color for next school year?

Our TK and Kindergarten students had so much fun exploring the Detroit Zoo last week! With perfect weather, they had the chance to see all the animals with their friends.

Thank you so much to Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace of Troy for donating nearly 300 bags to Woodland so students could transport their artwork home safely. We are so grateful for your partnership!

Mrs. Neal’s class has an ABC countdown to the last day of school! They made binoculars on Nature day to celebrate letter N, and for letter P, they had a Picnic outside!
