So... student's violin. Strings replaced at a local music store. 😒
Oh... they were also wound the wrong direction... Oh... and they knocked down the sound post... and for some reason moved the chin rest and then reset improperly.
Parents, make sure you get work done at a store that has orchestral strings people. Preferably their own repair department who also sell and rent orchestral strings.
