Our students are working on some big goals this year - memorizing their favorite songs! 🎶

At the end of this school year, they will have several songs memorized, ready to play anywhere, anytime.

Ally came to her lesson this week ready to show off her first memorized piece! 🤩

Found this gem today as I was looking through old pictures.

We're always trying to find the perfect picture, the best angle, the right filter.

"That is way too hard!"

Not if you introduce it the right way! 😉

Did you know transposing not only sounds super cool, but it is an amazing skill for kids to learn!

Transposing helps kids:
🎹 Master ear training
🎤 Play a song in a better key so friends can sing along
🎼 Apply scales and key signatures (and actually remember them!)
🎷 Play music with friends! (You have to transpose to play with band instruments like trumpet and saxophone, as well as a guitar with a capo.)

A few tricks help kids master this skill, and it sounds pretty impressive too 😎

Help me welcome Brian Chiappinelli, B. Mello Music Studio's newest teacher! 🎉🎉

Did you know...

🎶 Mr. Brian is not only an awesome teacher, but he also writes music, which has been featured on places such as Netflix, HBO, NASCAR, national TV commercials, viral YouTube videos, and more!!

🥁 Mr. Brian teaches and plays drums, as well as piano.

🔊 Mr. Brian actively performs in the Capital District and has even toured the country performing.

We are thrilled to have Mr. Brian as a teacher at B. Mello Music Studio! 🎵

We're one week in. Last week marked the beginning of our "Race Into Spring" practice challenge. 🌸

Students are racing to finish 💯 reps of a song.

And WOW 🙌🏼 after just one week, I am blown away! They are upping their game with practice and sound amazing!

I can't wait to see the progress as they race to 💯! 🎵
