Today was Dominic’s (5th grade) and Zachary (1st grade) Gopman’s first day of school. Both of them are Overfield alumni.

When they got home from school, Zach looked through his Overfield school scrapbook with me. As I read to him the daily reflections he enjoyed seeing all of the projects he did, friends he made, and teachers he loved.

As we finished going through his scrapbook, he said to me,”Gramma, I miss Overfield.” Dominic was nearby and when he heard his brother, Dominic agreed, “I miss Overfield, too,” he said. 💙💙
Join us! What can be better??? Wine and Painting... It's sure to be a blast!!
Thank you to all of the teachers at Overfield for helping all the littles learn and grow and for loving them. Your hard work is so appreciated.

what a delight to stop by at the Ice Cream social to see so many old friends and meet some new ones. The welcome is consistently enthusiastic. I look forward to many more "stop in to say hello" moments and wish all families, staff and children a wonderful year!
Hi Overfield friends, on Wednesday July 5th my husband Allen was working on the playground and while there he accidentally left a stained glass window. The window was leaning against a tree by the fence in the back. Any help to get it back would be appreciated! Thank you!
TONIGHT! Be sure to bring your flyer of show on your phone. The school receives 50% of sales from tonight's fundraiser. Support Overfield and get a night off for dinner-WIN!

Our treasured fire truck will be missed for a bit while it is being rehabbed. It was hard to let it leave the playground, but fresh paint, rust repair, new chrome, and repaired interior will ensure this beloved Overfield artifact will be around for our students to play in for many years to come. 🚒

What a wonderful week with visiting artist, Jim McCutcheon! The week with The Guitar Man was capped off with a fun concert on a beautiful evening yesterday, and concluded today with the generous gift of a balalaika from Jim to our school! Many thanks to the Ohio Arts Council for their grant support, which makes programs like this possible.

It All Takes Time! How periods of uninterrupted play help develop executive functioning and self-regulating skills in children.

Why Children Need Lots of Time to Play Let’s get right to the heart of the matter: children need more time. Time to play, explore, think, daydream, imagine, and simply be children.
