A kickball showdown before heading off to middle school!

Our 5th graders took on some of the staff while having a great time laughing, competing, and making memories together. The teachers brought home a win of 9-3! We’ll miss this group and wish them the best as they begin their middle school journey💜💛

Third Grade Egg Drop

Last week the School 14 third grade held their annual egg drop. The scholars began by hatching chickens in the classroom and learning all about the process of incubation, how to care for chickens, life cycles, temperature, and the water cycle. The unit ended with the children being tasked to create a contraption that would protect an egg from cracking when dropped on concrete from 10 feet in the air. The children had a wonderful time and many were successful!

School 14 STEAM Day

Today our scholars spent the morning participating in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities. The children used different robotics to code, explored various virtual field trips, and created things like roller coasters and playgrounds out of paper and tape. The children rose to the challenge and had an excellent morning!

This month, we celebrated the character trait of perseverance! Congratulations to these scholars who continue to show determination, resilience, and the courage to keep trying even when things are challenging💜💛
