🎉Congratulations 2026 Pre-K Graduates!
Yesterday, our Pre-K students and their families gathered to celebrate a wonderful year of learning, growth, and achievement. Ms. Summer and the class prepared songs to perform, watched a slideshow with pictures throughout the year, and then enjoyed a goodie bag and treat thanks to our awesome PTA!
We are so proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to watching them continue to thrive as they move on to Kindergarten next year!

Our 1st graders recently brought the zoo to life!
After researching their chosen animals, students transformed into interactive zoo exhibits, complete with creative costumes and fact-filled display boards.
Families and classmates were invited to tour the "zoo," where students proudly shared fascinating facts about their animals with every visitor.
What a fun, creative project, and well done all around 1st graders and Mrs. Madelone!

Congratulations to our June Star Students & Staff for exemplifying this month’s virtue: Reflection! These students and staff take time to think about their experiences, celebrate their growth, learn from challenges, and set goals for the future. They demonstrate self-awareness, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a willingness to learn from both successes and setbacks. Congratulations, and we can’t wait to celebrate with your families at our upcoming Star Student Breakfast!

The stars shone brightly in 2nd grade yesterday as students walked the red carpet to present the "Character Awards"! Dressed to impress, students were flanked by reporters and paparazzi as they made their way down the red carpet to present awards to characters from books they have read throughout the school year. Some awards included "Most Courageous," "Kindest Character," "Most Clever," and more! Great job, 2nd grade!

Congratulations to our Builders Club on an amazing year of service and hard work dedicated to helping our school and community!
Throughout the year, under the guidance of Mrs. Mitchell, these students participated in a variety of projects that made a positive impact on others. Their efforts included organizing canned food drives for families in need, creating gifts for students in hospitals, assisting younger students, helping to plan and set up school dances, and much more.
Last week, members of the Builders Club were recognized for their contributions at Kiwanis’ annual appreciation dinner, where they received certificates and club pins in celebration of their outstanding year. Keep up the amazing work!

Today, 5th graders stepped into the spotlight for their very own Shark Tank-style presentations!
After weeks of hard work, creativity, and collaboration, students developed an original candy concept, created a business plan, and pitched their product to a panel of guest "sharks" in hopes of landing a deal. Students had to decide how much money they'd sell their product for, how much it would cost to make, and what they would do with the shark's investment to grow their company. Some groups even bought in samples to show off!
Great job to our future entrepreneurs, and thanks to Mr. Lantz and Ms. Hansen for a super fun project!

This morning, GD students were visited by for an amazing assembly!
Students learned about a variety of fascinating animals, including snakes, chinchillas, African bullfrogs, and more. Some lucky volunteers even had the opportunity to help hold a snake during the presentation!
The excitement continued as every student had the chance to pet a massive tortoise and a snake up close. It was an engaging, hands-on learning experience that helped students discover more about wildlife and exotic animals.
A huge thank you to Uncharted Wild for bringing these amazing animal to our school and inspiring curiosity in our students!

Middle school students had a fantastic time at last week's tropical-themed dance! The evening was filled with friends, snacks, dancing, limbo, and plenty of fun.
A special thank you to Mrs. Mitchell and the Builders Club for organizing and setting up this wonderful event, and to the PTA for generously covering the cost of admission, food, drinks, and decorations. We appreciate everything that you do for GD!
