Hi Kappans! Just a reminder about the bake sale tomorrow. It is gonna be at the Siek Campus Center, 1st floor, from 11am - 2pm. If you brought baked goods, you can drop them off some time before 11am at the Center for Careers and Employment, which is on the 2nd floor of the campus center. Hi ptkers! A couple of things to take note:

First: PTK will be hosting a food drive from November 4 - November 15 to donate to the food pantry on campus to help students who are in need. Just bring your non-perishable food items to the Center for Careers and Employment, Room 270 in the Siek Campus Center and from there, we will take your very generous donations. It is open from 8am-5pm during the weekdays. Do encourage non-PTK members to participate as well as it is an event that is helping your fellow peers! Spread the word, tell your friends, and donate!

Second: there is a public deliberation about 'Building Civic Capacity for a Stronger Troy.' Basically, it is to help support the planning process for the city of Troy and discussions involving community residents will occur throughout the city from Nov 19 till summer. Results from these discussions will be used to create city-wide forums in late summer and fall. Regardless of whether you live in Troy or not, deliberations are a great skill to have as you move forward in your education and career, so I highly encourage you to participate! This will be held in the Multipurpose Room of the library (second floor) on Monday, 11/4 at 12 pm. Join us in learning more about this opportunity from Dr. Peter Sawyer. More information can be found on www.buildingastrongertroy.org

Emails have been sent to you regarding these two events. However, if you have any more questions, feel free to email any of the officers or the advisors. All of the officers' emails will be listed below, in case you don't know:

Hi Kappans! Our collaboration with Habitat for Humanity in building houses for low-income families was a success! Thank you to those who took the time out of their busy schedules to volunteer on a Saturday morning, especially with final exams around the corner. The advisors & officers greatly appreciate all the hard work you've put into volunteering. Thanks again for your generous support!
