We asked: “What’s one word you’d use to describe a Community Health Worker?”

The answers may be just one word, but they capture so much of what CHWs bring to their communities every day - compassion, connection, advocacy, trust, resilience, and so much more.

So, what does "Beyond the Bridge" mean? 🌉

Our theme for the 14th Annual Meeting & Conference, "Beyond the Bridge: Building Sustainable Infrastructure for Community Health Workers," invites us to reflect on the resilience, leadership, and unity that Community Health Workers bring to our communities every day. But building beyond the bridge also means looking ahead to the future.

It means creating sustainable systems that support the CHW workforce, strengthening partnerships, advancing policy, and ensuring Community Health Workers have the resources they need to continue making a lasting impact for years to come.
