Congratulations Mrs. Wong on being named Teacher of the Year for 2026!! We are proud of how she brings music alive for our students. Musical instruments are always a part of her classes and she started Bel-Canto Choir at Boone!! We love when our Tigers’ excellence is seen by everyone!!! Way to go Mrs. Wong!

Stripes the Tiger has been BUSY this summer!

Our favorite Boone Elementary mascot has been making memories all across the map!

Soccer camps, softball games, and Slick City have made for many fun memories for Stripes!
He explored the bustling streets of Chicago.
He reached new heights on top of Mt. Harvard.
He took in the breathtaking beauty of Alaska.
And he even went on an unforgettable African Safari, spotting incredible wildlife along the way!
He enjoyed Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower, and the Badlands with Dr. Raney too!

What a great morning at the Lincoln County Fair!

Our team enjoyed breakfast followed by a tour of the livestock barn, where we had the opportunity to see so many amazing animals exhibited by both current and former Boone Elementary students. It was also so much fun visiting with many of our students and their families!

We know we weren't able to snap a picture of every student's animal, and we'd love to celebrate them all! If we missed your exhibitor, please drop a picture of their animal in the comments below so we can cheer them on!

Thank you to all of our students for the hard work, dedication, and care you've put into your projects. We are so proud of you and wish you the best of luck at the fair!

Friday night our Bel-Canto choir took the field at Busch Stadium! They weren’t there to play, but to SING!! They did an amazing job of singing as well as signing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the 7th inning stretch. Nothing can compare to walking in that tunnel and coming out to the bright lights! Having an entire stadium sing along with you is pretty powerful too! It was great to have so many of our families there to help support and we appreciate Mrs. Wong for all of her musical expertise all year long. We are also thankful to Ms. Wenzara and Mrs. Bryant for helping to chaperone. Bel-Canto showcases our students’ talents throughout the year but this is definitely a highlight.

While the halls are void of student voices and fun, there is still work happening at Boone during the summer!! All of the carpet in the lower level classrooms has been ripped out to clear a way for new tile to replace it!! Our office is getting some functional updates as well to help with the flow of traffic. Our offices are also being painted to get a quick refresh!

Keep sending those “Flat Stripes” pictures in to show where you’ve taken him on your adventures!! We love seeing them!
