Friends, this post is bittersweet. After 23 years and over 7,000 students, Armed Response Training Academy and Armed Response Inc. will close it's doors. It has been great and I have had the honor of instructing 3 generations of shooters. I intend to continue as an avid proponent of the shootist philosophy. I will remain politically active and available to assist former students and their families in any way an "old gun guy" can. What a ride it has been. I hope I have been an inspiration to some of you. I hope I have, in some way, guided a few to be better people, better citizens and better fathers. I will continue to write and share the lifetime of "gun sense" that I have accumulated over my lifetime. Thanks to all of you who have attended my classes and allowed me to afford to feed these machines I have dedicated so much time to mastering. To all my Jedi brothers out there, I'll see you on the range. Love to all and God Bless.

Enhanced Handgun Permit Class. $75. Saturday, November 27. You may not need a permit to carry in many places but you do need training. You need to know and understand the law. "I didn't know", won't get the charges dropped, the handcuffs removed, or the lawsuit settled!

You may not need a permit. You do need training. You need to understand the law. "I didn't know", won't get the charges dropped, the handcuffs removed, or the lawsuit settled! Don't be an idiot. If you are going to have a gun for self defense, you need training.

Yes. We are still training people for permits. Wonder why you need to take this training in a state that has constitutional carry? Owning a piano doesn't make you a pianist. Also, stating "I didn't know" won't get the handcuffs removed or the charges dropped. Smart people train!

CCW CLASS, May 8, 10AM-1PM. Cost is $40.
Location is in Troy, TN. You still need a permit to carry outside TN in the 38 states that recognize our HGP. It's easier and cheaper to get than ever. Call or Text for info 731-446-0125. No Excuses for not getting it!

No ammo? Armed Response offer classes for which we supply the Ammo. Our Force on Force Classes are serious training. We supply the weapons, safety gear and the ammo. Semi-Auto Airsoft handguns are used in real-life scenarios. Probably the most "bang for the buck" of all the training we offer. Saturday, April 10, 6PM-9PM.
