Hello Forest Families,

Maintenance crews have resolved the issue with the main water line. Conferences will still take place this evening, and school will resume as scheduled tomorrow, Friday, January 23.

Thank you for your understanding as we addressed this issue. We look forward to seeing all of the students tomorrow.

Hello Forest Families,

Due to a water main leak, Forest Elementary will be closed on Thursday, January 22, to allow necessary repairs to be completed. No other buildings in the district will be affected.

Parent-teacher conferences will still take place as scheduled.

I want to thank our students, staff, and families for an amazing first day!

As of now, we are still experiencing phone issues, so please email or use Dojo to communicate to teachers or the office.

Success Tip: Please ensure you and your child have a plan for how they will get home from school. We had several students that were unsure and we had to make contact with families. We are happy help, but it can be stressful for the student when they are unsure what is happening. If you ever have a change in dismissal plans, please contact the office and your child's teacher to ensure we receive the message.

We are so excited for the first day of school tomorrow! I am attaching the Student Handbook Highlights and Other Guidelines to remind families of some of our expectations at Forest.

Arrival/Dismissal:
Arrival: Please remember that supervision of students begins at 8:30 when we open our doors. Students should plan to arrive just before or after this time. Students must be in classroom by 8:55.

The front of the school is reserved for buses and daycares. We ask that families drop of students either from Union St. on the east side of the building, or from the alley on the west side of the building.

Shuttle Info for Forest Students: Forest students needing the shuttle will use Bus 25. Bus 25 will start at Kyle in the morning and depart for Forest around 8:40. Bus 25 will also bring Forest students back to Kyle in the afternoon. The bus should get to Kyle around 3:30.
